A Flower Bar for a Bridal Shower

At Sixty Vines restaurant in Charlotte, North Carolina

Last weekend I had the opportunity to rent my flower cart out for a beautifully styled floral-themed bridal shower at Sixty Vines in Charlotte, NC, and it was the perfect setting for a floral bridal shower. The restaurant’s patio room felt like a greenhouse with its natural light from the large windows, hanging plants and slate tile floor. It made for a stunning backdrop for a bridal shower.

The mother of the bride sure knows how to plan an event! The bridal was shower was floral themed to match the bride’s garden wedding venue. Guests were encouraged to wear floral to fit the theme and the tables had beautiful, whimsical floral arrangements full of shades of pink and orange and flowing greenery.

Besides the beautiful patio and floral decor, the bridal shower was unique compared to other showers I’ve been to. Rather than spending time watching the bride open gifts, guests were encouraged to spend time enjoying the activities set up through out the venue space. There was a water color painting station, games, a mimosa bar (because can you have a bridal shower without one) and I set up the flower cart as a bouquet bar, as well as a flower crown station.

Guests were invited to step up to the flower cart and build their own custom bouquets, choosing from a curated selection of fresh blooms and greenery. In addition to bouquet building, guests also crafted flower crowns, making the experience interactive and so memorable.

The floral experience added a thoughtful, hands-on element to the bridal shower and gave everyone something beautiful to take home. The bouquets make for a perfect party favor and the bouquet sleeves had custom stickers with the bride’s name and shower date.

Although the majority of guests opted to build a bouquet over making a crown, I was so happy to see a hand full of guests dive into creating the flower crowns, not a simple task! We placed shears, instructions, empty crowns and floral tape on the tables and I was available for guidance for anyone needing help creating their flower crowns.

The mother of the bride chose the color palette “Love In A Mist” from our flower bar color palette choices, which includes soft pinks, lavender, peaches, white along with eucalyptus for greenery.

The flower cart was not only a bridal shower activity and party favor, but also served as a beautiful part of the decor.

I loved being a part of this beautiful bridal shower and seeing all the women there to support the bride in their floral dresses, and even floral pant suits!

Here at the Botanical House we rent out flower carts to serve as bouquet bars for bridal showers, birthdays, baby showers, conferences and corporate events, you name it!
